There is a island that sit S.E. from Cebu Philippines. It's called Bohol. Life on this island is much slower than the big city of Cebu. People go there to get away from the city living and relax or sit on sand beaches or to scuba dive.. You will see many people from all around the world taking in the sun and water. There are two ways to get there, take a passenger boat or fly there. The boat takes a hour and half and the plane will get you there in a half a hour. I took the boat for two reasons, one to be on the water, and the cost was cheaper.
I was invite to go there with Emil and his family. Emil goes there once a week for business, so he knows the Bohol very well, he also has a rest house there which were going to stay in. I love the pace of life there, slow and easy. People are very friendly and have a welcoming smile when you seem them.
I am always on the search for honey when I travel, and there was a resort called Beehive Resort, The resort was only 10 minutes from the rest home, so of course I had to go. I didn't know what to expect, since there are many resorts on this island. When we drove into the main part of the resort, I knew I was going to love it. The owners practice organic growing, all the food they grow they sell or use in there Restro. They are also know for there great ice cream. I had mango and ginger ice cream, very tasty and freshly made. I wish that more resorts would practice this style of business.
Enjoy the slice of heaven that i was in!
