I went on a short but very steep hike above Boljoon Philippines, I have done this hike before, but this was a different view. Our destination was a watch tower that was build to watch over the town. It was use to watch the Spanish Pirates come in from the sea. When they would come, they would alert the town and then they would flee into the mountains.
Enjoy the view!

Hiking into the mountains of Boljoon Philippines!
November 22nd 2011
I had to get back into nature. being in Cebu City is fine, but my heart is with the water and the mountains. We hiked about a half an hour into the mountains, up to Lani's Uncle hut. Lani, Jo-Ji, I-I, Vince, Botoy and I climb up to about 3,000 ft. When we got there we made lunch and had fun just hanging out in the beautiful Mountains of Boljoon Philippines.
I love to see new plants and flowers, This day the monkeys didn't show them selfs, but someday I will see them. We got to the top, we had Botoy cut us some coconuts from the tree, then he slice them so we could drink the water of them, it was so refreshing!
Enjoy the hike with me!

The adventures of four!
November 26th 2011
I woke up early and traveled two and half hours from Boljoon (on bus) to Cebu City Philippines to watch the dancing prisoners, yes dancing prisoners, the last Saturday of each month they let tourist come and see the famous dancing prisoners. My friend Lani got tickets from the head prisoner guard and wanted me to go with her and her cousin. If you never seen this event, it is a must see! The show lasted two hours and the prisoners dances to song from Michel Jackson to the Beatles. It was weird being that close to convicts that have been in prison for many years, anything for drugs to human trafficing. Most of the prisoners were under 30 years old.
There was three of us when we went to the dance, but we meet a American Traveler named Matt and he join our group to make Four! After the show we went to eat and then to go see a Korean punk band! I was invited to this show from my friend Kenji, a local friend of mine. They were really good and it was great to see live music here in Cebu City. Most of the music you see here are people singing to 80s and 90s love songs. This was SO out of the norm for this country, very refreshing to say the least. I love to see the gen- X in a mosh pit going in circles.
Stay tuned for the next adventure from the Islands!

AA restro, My favorite place to eat.
I always look forward to eating at the AA restro, they have 6 locations, I have eat at three of the location.
You get in line with a tray, pick up all the uncooked food, and bring it to the end of the line. They count what you have and price it. Then you go to your table and wait for the food to come to you. The waiter comes to your table and orders what you want to drink. I order a mango shake of course, I can not get enough of them. I am use to eating red meat, which their is hardly any here in the Philippines. Dairy products are far and few between too.
Enjoy the photos!
